This image presents the concept for the “Even” robotic rover, a project born from the need for a truly rugged and adaptable mobile camera platform. My design philosophy was simple: create a tool that filmmakers and explorers can trust in unpredictable, real-world conditions.
The core of the “Even” rover is its low-profile, all-terrain chassis, engineered for maximum stability on uneven ground. On this base, we’ve integrated a modular, high-performance gimbal capable of carrying a range of professional cameras, ensuring smooth, cinematic footage regardless of the environment. The aesthetic is intentionally functional and robust, prioritizing durability over cosmetic polish.
I chose to present the prototype alongside a roll of duct tape deliberately. It’s a nod to the spirit of ingenuity and field-readiness that defines this project. The “Even” rover isn’t a fragile piece of studio equipment; it’s a dependable workhorse for creators who need to improvise and capture the perfect shot, no matter where the story takes them. It’s built to go anywhere and to deliver a stable, “even” perspective on an unstable world.
